Where does the shop deliver directly?
The authoritative list is the one offered at checkout once you have entered your address. The shop does not promise delivery to destinations that are not on that list. Where a country is not served directly, an external channel may be offered.
Which format is sold at launch?
Unless stated otherwise on the book page, direct sales at launch cover physical paperback books.
Why are your books only available in print?
For now, the house favours the printed book: a lasting object you can keep, annotate, lend, give or pass on. Paper also honours the work of writing, research, layout and production. Digital editions are not ruled out in the future, but they are not the priority at launch.
How are orders shipped?
For delivery in Switzerland, orders are shipped from Switzerland by Swiss Post. For delivery within the European Union, your book is printed and shipped from the EU by our printer: it does not cross any customs border, so there are no customs duties or fees to pay on delivery. The parcel may arrive in an Amazon box — that is normal. For other countries, the shipping method and costs are shown before payment.
How long does it take to prepare an order?
For a book shown as in stock, preparation may take up to three working days before dispatch.
How long does delivery take?
In Switzerland, delivery usually takes about three days after shipping. Within the European Union, the book is shipped from the EU, with no customs clearance. Elsewhere, delivery times vary with the destination, the postal service and any customs checks. An estimate is not an absolute guarantee.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes. Direct orders require a customer account. On your first order, the account is created at checkout from the email address you provide. Creating an account does not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard…) from any country, securely processed by Stripe. In Switzerland, TWINT as well. Outside Switzerland, bank transfer is also available. The available methods are shown at checkout, depending on the country you enter.
What currency are prices in?
Prices are in Swiss francs for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and in euros for Europe. In other countries they are in Swiss francs: your bank converts the amount into your currency at the time of payment.
Is the newsletter compulsory?
No. The newsletter box is optional and not pre-ticked. If you tick it, a confirmation email is sent: no campaign is sent until you have confirmed your subscription. Every newsletter contains a simple, free unsubscribe link.
Can I return a book simply because I have changed my mind?
For a purchase governed by Swiss law, there is no general right of withdrawal for online purchases. If a mandatory foreign rule applies to your purchase, in particular a statutory right of withdrawal, it remains reserved. Your rights in the event of a defect or a delivery error always apply.
What should I do if the book I received is defective or incorrect?
Contact [email protected] with your order number, a description of the problem and, if useful, a photograph. You will then be told how to return or replace the book, or what other solution applies.
How can I find out the shipping costs and the exact total?
The basket and checkout calculate the options and costs based on the address you provide. The total charged by the shop is shown before you confirm your order.
How does a purchase on Amazon or another platform work?
A purchase made on a third-party platform is subject to that platform’s prices, delivery times, shipping, returns and terms, not to the General Terms of Sale of the direct shop.
How are my data and cookies used?
The data needed for your account, order, payment, delivery, support and newsletter are processed in accordance with the privacy policy. The cookie policy explains the cookies needed for the basket, account and checkout, and any measurement tools. The built-in newsletter system adds no open-tracking pixel and no individual click tracking.
Why do some books cost more?
Our books are printed on demand. Our current printer limits us to two new titles per week in each format, paperback or hardcover. To publish faster, we have chosen to release some books first in hardcover, which is sturdier but a little more expensive to produce: that is what explains their price. These books will also come out in paperback, at a lower price. We are also preparing a better printing solution that will no longer impose this kind of limit.
